That's the point.

Contest Rules

FREE entry. All submissions must be a 1000 words or less and can only utilize one prompt. No exceptions. Authors are allowed to submit up to four stories; only one story per prompt. The prompt words must play a key role in your flash fiction story. You cannot simply mention the words and call it a day. There will only be ONE winner! Will that be you?

Please email all submissions to ::: with the following:
Subject Line: Scribble #1 and the title of your story
In the body of the email: Your author name, website URL, and prompt number (EX: Prompt #1).

All stories must be submitted in PDF format only and be attached to the email!
Any submissions sent in that are not in PDF format will be deleted. All entries submitted after Monday, June 2 11:59 P.M. EST will also be deleted.

The entries will be judged on writing style, plot, and whether the author stuck to the prompt and word count limit. The winner will be chosen and emailed 3-4 weeks after the end of the contest, as well as announced in the Weekly Chronicle of the Crew.
